Richard shared he will be working with the board of a medical services organization in Honduras, focusing on educating about good governance, rather than getting into technical detail. Cam suggested making the educational session interactive and shared a tool for prioritizing multiple Ends.

In talking about board group work, he stated its O.K. to encourage group members to say "stupid" things in order to make "smart" group decisions.

Richard added that he has been exploring the writings of Brene Brown.

Cam mentioned that he has been approached by a number of organizations to provide services and is planning to offer some seminars.

Chantal shared that she has been working with a board without staff and dealing with role conflation.She also shared that she works regularly with school boards.

John shared that his recent experience with a school board using Board Docs leads him to believe that a board's use of Board Docs should present no obstacle for that board's adoption of Policy Governance.

Also, school boards subscribing to NEOLA (or other providers of ongoing updated sample school board policies) can transform their school board policy manual into two manuals, one for board governance and one for the superintendent.
